Located on the front corner of The Orangery Village development, the Back Porch Mercantile is a retail shop for local and luxury interior items and gifts. The design of this tenant space was kept fresh and simple to showcase the merchandise inside.
The main level has an open floor plan to allow for flexibility in product displays. The layout can morph to accommodate the rotating furniture, clothing, fabric, and interior decor from season to season. Utilizing the tall ceilings, an existing mezzanine was customized over the back of the space and is used as a classroom for DIY workshops.
Existing skylights brighten the interior from above and are supplemented by large new storefront display windows. The bright, neutral interior palette provides a strong backdrop for the ever-changing, colorful store.
